CRANESIGHT CAMERA CONTROL
See it.
Control it.
CraneSight puts live monitoring and Blackmagic camera control together on one iPad—ideal for crane, jib, and remote-camera work.
One console, two connections
A typical remote-camera setup needs one device for Bluetooth control and a separate monitor to see the shot. CraneSight combines both jobs in one working surface.
These connections are independent. For complete operation, confirm both READY camera control and a live video source.
Quick start
- If requested, enter your assigned private-beta activation code.
- Turn on the camera and enable its Bluetooth control.
- Tap the antenna button—or open Setup → Choose Camera—and select the camera. Tap Scan if needed.
- Open Monitor and select USB or NDI. For NDI, keep both devices on the same local network and choose the source.
- Confirm the header shows READY and the monitor shows a live picture.
- Frame the shot, make adjustments, then use Record/Stop.
Your console
TOP BAR
See camera and connection status, then quickly trigger Autofocus, Auto Exposure, or Auto White Balance.
LIVE MONITOR
View REC/STBY, timecode, ISO, shutter angle, white balance, tint, and video-source name over the picture. Tap expand for the landscape full-screen monitor; tap X to return.
IMAGE
Adjust ISO, shutter angle, Kelvin, and tint. Internal ND appears when a supported 6K Pro camera is connected.
LENS
Adjust focus, iris/exposure, and zoom when supported by the attached lens. Position and recall three focus-pull points and choose a pull speed. In full screen, place the focus track on any edge; tap a numbered marker to recall it or press and drag to move it.
MONITOR
Select USB or NDI video. Outdoor View offers Lift, Mono, and Frame viewing aids. Import up to two compatible 17- or 33-point .cube LUTs.
Important: Outdoor View and LUTs affect only the iPad preview. They never change the camera image or recorded footage.
SETUP
Connect or disconnect the camera, use Jam Date & Time to copy the iPad clock to the camera, and open About for version and legal information.
If something is not working
- No camera found: confirm Bluetooth is enabled, move the iPad closer, and tap Scan.
- No USB picture: check the adapter/cable and confirm the source is a compatible USB video device.
- No NDI source: confirm both devices share the same local network, select NDI, and allow time for scanning.
- Controls do not respond: confirm the camera shows READY and that the camera or lens supports the function.
- A feature is locked: monitor and focus-pull access depends on the active beta or trial state.
